Escape the in-app browser

Create a short link to your destination, with browser-opening assistance for supported in-app browsers.

Paste your long link here... Shorten link

Social apps may open shared links in an embedded browser instead of your usual Safari or Chrome. That browser can have a different sign-in session, and the destination's login or payment features may behave differently. The first useful check is to open the same destination address in your normal browser.

b4.ma creates a short address and attempts to identify supported in-app browsers when a visitor opens it. Where the device permits it, the visitor can open the destination externally. If an automatic attempt is blocked, browser-opening instructions and a copy-and-paste fallback help the visitor continue.

A short link does not repair an unavailable destination or guarantee that a native app opens. It does not transfer login sessions or guarantee a completed purchase. Keep the original address available, and test the shared link on the devices and social apps your audience uses.

Create and test your link

  1. Paste the full destination address, including https:// or http://, into the field above. Check the domain and path before submitting; an https:// address is preferable when the destination supports it.
  2. Select Shorten link, then copy the returned address. If the tool rejects the destination or reports a daily limit, read the message rather than repeatedly submitting the same request.
  3. Open the copied link in your normal browser and confirm the final address. Next, test it from the social app where you intend to share it.
  4. If the destination remains inside the app or fails to load, use the external-browser option where available. Otherwise copy the address into Safari or Chrome. If both browsers fail, check the original destination.

Frequently asked questions

What is a deeplink?

A deeplink points to a specific destination rather than only a homepage. Whether a destination opens in its native app depends on that app's link support, installation, device settings, and browser restrictions. b4.ma provides routing assistance, not guaranteed app launching.

Is this free?

Yes. This public tool creates temporary links without an account. It allows up to five anonymous links per IP address in a rolling 24-hour period. Registered accounts can manage saved links and a bio page, subject to their plan limits.

How long do links last without an account?

Anonymous links currently expire 60 days after creation. Creating an account does not convert an existing anonymous link into a permanent one. For a longer-term destination, create and manage a saved link from your account and share that address instead.

How is this different from a b4.ma bio page?

A link from this tool routes to a single destination. A bio page organizes multiple links in one public profile. Choose a single link for one destination, or a bio page when visitors need a choice between several resources.
